PCC strengthens competition law practice through second MCLE

The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) sustained its commitment to elevate legal expertise through the successful conduct of its second Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Lecture Series on competition law, held on August 20, 22, 27, and 29, and September 3 in Quezon City.

Participants of the PCC MCLE Lecture Series 2025 held on August 20, 22, 27, 29, and September 3 in Quezon City during the sessions on the Philippine Competition Act, Rules of Procedure, and Economics.

Building on the success of its inaugural offering last year, this year’s program welcomed 79 participants from both the public and private sectors, including lawyers from government agencies, private firms, corporations, and the PCC.

The five-day learning program provided a comprehensive discussion of competition law’s legal, economic, and procedural dimensions, with each day focusing on a distinct theme, from foundational competition law principles and enforcement strategies to mergers and acquisitions, contemporary issues, specialized contexts, and global perspectives on competition law and policy.

Participants of the PCC MCLE Lecture Series 2025 held on August 20, 22, 27, 29, and September 3 in Quezon City.

The program featured a diverse mix of lecturers whose insights and expertise helped bridge theory and practice, foster deeper understanding and engagement among participants.

The program underscored PCC’s ongoing commitment to legal education and capacity-building in the field of competition law, where participants were awarded 36 MCLE units upon completion of the event.
